Repair Method for repair Overboard Pipe:
- Arrange diver and material for plugging an overboard hole at the sea side of the hull.
- Slowly open the bolts of the flange valve to check watertight condition ( must not leak after plugged)
- Remove Overboard Valve to outside, checking condition of the valve.
- To be cut overboard,
- Cut the Pipe supports.
- Insert new Flange and new pipe.
- Prepare the good clearance and welding surface before welding up.
- Tig – Welding method to be provided for welding new pipe with old pipe
- Welding Pipe supports (brackets) with the pipe.
- Close the welding holes by full welding up
- Dye Penetration testing all the welding seams to check any cracks or defects

+ Repair Plan has been issued and approved by Class/ Owner before the job is carried out on board.
