Job: Repair / Rewinding Windlass Electric Motor

– Clean, check the external condition of the Motor and confirm with the customer about the condition of the Motor.
– Prepare lashing ropes and lifting eyes to transfer the Motor from Main Deck to the Boat services.
– Use the Provision Crane to lift down Windlass Electric Motor to the Service Boat.
– Visual checking Windlass Electric Motor.
– Measure relevant parameters such as Mega Ohm, Voltage… and record the data for later comparison.
– Dissemble Motor, clean and check details such as: Bearings, Bearing housings, Key, Rotor, Seals, Coupling, Impeller, …etc.

– Cleaning all components / Parts of Motor after dissemble.
– Visual checking all parts of Motor after cleaned.
– Inform customer about the status of damaged details.
– Renewal or repair damaged parts as agreed.
– Rewind the stator as following Shop procedure, dry the stator after winding with a dedicated Motor drying device.

– Complete installation of Motor at the workshop.
– Measure the specifications and compare with the original specifications such as: Mega Ohm, Rotation of Motor, Strange noise, ..etc.
– Free load test must be arranged at workshop to check Stator Current (Ampere) for each phase.
– Cleaning Motor, cover it for transportation to customer.

– Hand over and check the specifications together with the ship’s chief engineer.
– Submits all document of the Motor to the Vessel such as: Work List Report, Photo Report, Shop Test Report.
